Bro. Chris has served as a pastor for 43 years. His wife, Tina, has been his faithful and supportive companion throughout all those years. In June 2017, Chris and Tina started Grace Church in their living room. The congregation quickly outgrew that space and moved into the conference room of the Union Baptist Association, for which they remain forever grateful.
Later, the church moved into another building, which was generously offered rent-free for a year with the intention of purchasing it. The building had previously been used as a “junk” store and required significant renovation. God faithfully provided for every need during that time. However, the purchase did not go through, as the Lord had other plans.
In a miraculous turn of events, the congregation at Word of Tabernacle on 20th Street disbanded and put their building up for sale. Through a series of miraculous provisions, Grace Church was able to purchase the property outright—paying cash. It is a beautiful building, clearly provided by God, and has been the church’s place of worship ever since.
Chris and Tina are blessed with three grown children, three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, who are the joys of their lives. Tina works for the Postal Service, while Chris retired from the Postal Service in October 2024 and now serves Grace Church full time.
